Access Grids - Remote Collaboration at Work
This session will be introduced by John Houlker, ICT Sector Specialist New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
Richard Naylor, CityLink, presents and demonstrates how access grid technology can be used to aid remote working and effective collaboration between multiple locations. E-vision will be configured as an Access Grid (AG) and will be in communication with two other local AGs for a live demonstration of the technology at work.
Access Grids are conferencing spaces designed to create an immersive environment for collaborative work between distributed locations. Each grid contains the visual technology needed to provide a high-quality compelling user experience. AGs can be used for large-scale meetings, collaborative work sessions, seminars, lectures, tutorials and training.
CityLink, in conjunction with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise have put together the grid technology being demonstrated.
